MY NAME IS

MEKAHALIAH RAINDANCE BROWN.

I’m a Central Texas photographer originally from Houston. After moving to the area a year ago & stepping into motherhood, I took a little time away from the camera. Now, I’m excited to be creating again & reconnecting with the art that has brought me so much joy over all these years.

Photography has been a part of my life since high school. Coming from a family of creatives, I grew up surrounded by art, music, and creativity, so picking up a camera felt like a natural extension of that. What started as a hobby eventually became Raindance Studios in 2020. I was showing up to people’s homes with backdrop paper in the back of my truck, a camera that was gifted to me in high school, and everything I had taught myself through YouTube. I’ve come a long way since then, but I’m still growing and pushing myself to become a better photographer. My dream is to one day see my work in magazines, but until then, I love bringing that same editorial feeling to everyday people right here in Texas.

To me, photography has never been about simply taking pictures. It’s about seeing people in a way they may not always see themselves, creating something that makes them feel confident, and turning ordinary moments into something that feels extraordinary. More than anything, I want to build genuine relationships with the people I photograph. I want you to feel comfortable in front of my camera, trust my vision, and leave with more than beautiful images. I want you to leave with an experience and memories you and your loved ones want to hold onto.

  • I am based in Belton, Texas — serving clients throughout Central Texas and surrounding areas including Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, & more.

  • I specialize in editorial-inspired photography while also offering portraits, fashion, maternity, graduations, birthdays, family sessions, professional headshots, weddings, and intimate elopements.

  • To book, you’ll first complete an inquiry and consultation. Once we’ve discussed your vision and chosen your session, you’ll receive a private booking link. Your date and time are officially secured once your contract is signed and your retainer is paid.

  • Yes, I require a 30% non-refundable retainer on all packages.

  • Yes! I offer a range of photography collections designed to accommodate different needs and budgets. If you have a specific vision or budget in mind, feel free to reach out so we can find an option that works for you while still creating beautiful, intentional imagery.

  • Your collection includes access to the images captured during your session for review and selection. Final deliverables depend on the collection you choose.

  • Yes, but I recommend keeping your guest list small so you can stay comfortable and focused during your session. For editorial and creative sessions especially, a calm environment helps keep the creative flow going.

  • Your 30% retainer is non-refundable because it reserves your date and prevents another client from booking that time. Cancellation terms are outlined in your contract.

  • Rescheduling is subject to availability and the terms outlined in your contract. Please provide as much notice as possible if you need to change your date.
